Wholesale Mums - 775 Ono Road, Annville Pa - 717-821-2562
To say Moyers Mum Farm likes to grow mums is probably an understatement. When Ben first started growing them, he grew about 1800. After realizing that there was a real need for a good quality product the decision to increase wasn’t a hard one to make. After selling out year after year Ben and Tonya knew they needed to step up their game, so they increased to 25,000. They thought that was a good number to be at but turns out they were proven wrong again. So after yet another sold out year they are making the jump to increase to 38,000 mums. Their goal would be to plant 50,000 (well if you ask Ben he would want to reach 100,000 but that’s a little overwhelming to Tonya) but with the support from all of you, it might just be possible.
So here’s how it all work. When August comes around it’s time to start thinking of purchasing your mums for your retail location. Our early varieties bloom by mid August already. These are great varieties to start with on your stand to begin showing your costumers that you are thinking of mums and getting started with the season. When placing an order, you will need to pick up a minimum of 100 pots, this can be an assortment of pots sizes if you wish (for example you can get 90-8inch mums and 10-10inch hanging baskets) or if you simply want to get a full order of just one pot size that is fine to but the minimum amount is 100 pots per pick up. We recommend starting out with a selection of the 8inch, then as the season progressed, branch out into the other sizes including the deck planters we have available. You will need to place your order at least 48 hours (2 days) in advance. Pick up is also only by appointment Monday-Friday. This will allow us to make sure we have an assortment of colors for you as well as reserving your spot on the schedule. We also work with you on your orders as far as color selection. We always try to give an assortment of colors per order but if you start to see you have a lot of one certain color still remaining, say the reds, then when you place your next order simple let us know that and we will go easy on reds so you will once again have a good assortment of colors for your customers to choose from. When you arrive at the farm we will have your mums pulled and ready on our mum wagons set in our staging area. This is our way of keeping orders correct since we often have several different orders going out the same day/time so when you arrive either Ben or myself (Tonya) will be there to assist you and make sure you are picking up the correct mums for your order.
